Bregenzerwald Cheese Centre, Andelsbuch
The Bregenzerwald Cheese Centre is the central marketplace for the entire selection of local cheeses produced in the Bregenzerwald region. Its aim is to provide a direct outlet, open 365 days a year, where locals and guests alike can taste and buy the cheeses.
The highlight lies in the huge selection of local cheese varieties which are all crying out to be tasted! Visitors can enjoy up to 60 different types of hard, sliced, cream and soft cheeses, produced from the milk of cows, goats and sheep.
Our local specialities are also on offer in our restaurant. If the tasting has made you hungry for more, simply choose your favourite cheese and let the restaurant serve it up for you!
To enhance the tasting experience still further, every Sunday we hold a free cheese-making demonstration. The process of turning milk into cheese is an interesting one. Come and see how the dairyman lifts the cheese out of the vat; it is surprising how this know-how makes the cheese taste even better!
